BSX · Public information
Participation
BSX is for verified organisations that buy, sell, produce, process, store, inspect, transport, insure or finance physical agricultural commodities.
The public website accepts early-access applications. It does not create a platform account or guarantee admission. Each applicant must complete company, ownership, authority and risk verification before access can be approved.
Eligibility
An applicant should have a clear legal identity, legitimate commercial purpose, and authority to conduct the proposed activity.
Trading organisations
Organisations buying, selling, producing, processing, storing, importing, or exporting physical commodities.
Assigned services
Inspection, logistics, insurance, warehousing, and other providers assigned to defined transaction work.
Financial institutions
Licensed institutions acting within their own authorisation and bilateral arrangements.
Not eligible
Anonymous applicants, unverifiable ownership, unclear authority, prohibited activity, or risk that cannot be acceptably controlled.
Organisation documents
The participation file must establish the organisation, ownership, governance, representatives, and nominated account.
Formation and standing
Registration certificate, recent registry extract, constitutional documents, registered address, tax identifier, and relevant operating licences where required.
Ownership and control
Ownership chart, shareholder or member register, beneficial-ownership declaration, and supporting documents through to the natural persons who ultimately own or control the organisation.
Authority to act
Director or officer evidence, authorised-signatory list, specimen signatures where used, board resolution or power of attorney, and identity documents for relevant representatives.
Banking and business
Proof that the nominated account belongs to the applicant, expected activity, key counterparties or markets where relevant, and source information required by the risk review.
Review stages
BSX records the verification result, conditions and authorised users before an organisation receives access.
01 · Completeness
Check that required forms and supporting documents are present, current, legible, and properly certified or translated where necessary.
02 · Verification
Validate legal identity, ownership, representatives, authority, account ownership, and required screening against reliable sources.
03 · Risk decision
Assess the purpose, expected activity, identified risks, required conditions, and whether those risks can be controlled.
04 · Activation
Record the decision, conditions, permissions, review date, and authorised users before access is enabled.
Ongoing obligations
Verification is not a one-time document collection exercise.
A participant would be required to keep ownership, management, authority, contact, licence, and bank information current; respond to review requests; maintain secure user access; and notify material changes promptly. Activity and screening would be reviewed in proportion to risk.
Official and trade documents
Participation documents prove who the organisation is. Transaction documents prove what happened in a particular trade.
Official certificates and trade documents are requested only when the transaction, authority, contract or payment method requires them. For example, phytosanitary certification is governed by the relevant plant-health authority and international standard. BSX does not issue that certificate.
- IPPC · ISPM 12
International standard for phytosanitary certificates.
